The Friends of the Loveland Public Library hosts events of all sorts and sizes, from our yearly fundraiser classics to special red-letter events. Click on an event name at right to find out more.

Community activities and events funded by the Friends include:

  • Semi-Annual Used Book Sales
  • Loveland Lights, a celebration of winter holiday traditions
  • Loveland Loves to Read, an annual "one book/one community" program
  • Murder Mystery Night - solve a mystery unfolding before you!
  • Pints for People, in conjunction with Loveland Aleworks

    Loveland Lights, sponsored by Friends of the Loveland Public Library, will transform the library into a winter wonderland featuring decorated trees, various crafters, local musicians, and activities and entertainment for kids of all ages. 

    The always popular graham cracker gingerbread house workshops will be held in the children's storytime room. The Friends will host a holiday book and bake sale and are encouraging participants to bring non-perishable food items to donate.

    The theme for this year is Holiday Traditions Around the World.

    Get in the holiday spirit! The Friends will wrap gifts at Barnes & Noble. All tips go to the Friends of the Library. 

    Gifts from other retail locations can be wrapped as well! 

    For our volunteers: 

    Barnes & Noble supplies wrapping paper and tape, and we supply volunteers, ribbon, and other embellishments. Contact Volunteer Coordinator Lynn Moriarty ( to sign up for a wrapping time.
